Timen Mash Recipe 

Ingredients:

For every 1 cup of dry mash, use 1.5 cups of uncooked rice.

1tbs butter/ olive oil

1 onion

A handful of pitted, chopped dates

1 tsp ground cumin

1 cinnamon stick

1 tbs toasted cumin seeds

Salt & pepper

A drizzle of date debs

Yoghurt to serve

Now multiply your ingredients for larger quantities.

Design: 

Dry green lentils

Wet

Drenched, drenched (4-6 hrs)

Long grain rice

Rinsed

Soaked

Not that long

Cumin powdered 

Salted &

Stirred

With a cinnamon stick

Boiled together ( 20 min) 

Butter knob

Swirled in a pan

Melted

Onions slivered

Tears drop

Onion half moon slices

Tossed, sautéed 

Around until

Wilted

Turned golden, then

Golden brown

Caramelized

Sweetness extended

With a cinnamon sprinkle

Rice fluffed

& topped

Cumin seeds

Toasted

Dates chopped 

Squished into molasses

Layered

A regatta of boats

Served
