A Not So Equivocal Cloud غمامة غير غامضة
Sculptural ceramic totems, shaped by wheel and by hand, are poetic and heartfelt, representing the spiritual connection to the land, the tribe, and the family; to nature and humanity; and to the nature of humans, caught between protecting all of this and destroying it.
Al Maeda AlAmera -مائدة عامرة (The bountiful table) not only expands for flavors and colors, but also the sounds that mingle among them: the clatter of glasses & plates, the tinkling of spoons, knives and forks, the bursts of laughter amidst the exchanged conversations.
Al Maeda AlAmera is not always joyful; between what burdens to be placed upon it, sometimes barely, sometimes abundant. But in all cases, it is valuable, and even more so when it comes from the field or the garden. We cling to it more fiercely when attempts are made to snatch it from us.
Then, the mills of war rage, sacrifices are offered to this table.
Other bombastic sounds rise, with sooty fumes
The table is overshadowed —
A cloud (ghemama غمامة), a gloom (ghomma غُمّة)
Not only does it pollute this field, nor the neighboring field, but all the fields of the earth and what waters them.
We devour from these fields.
And yet, the cloud's shadow does not last.

مجسمات سيراميك نحتية، تم تشكيلها على العجلة وباليد، شاعرية نابعة من القلب تمثل الارتباط الروحي بالأرض، القبيلة والعائلة.و الطبيعة والبشر ، وطبيعة البشر بين حماية ذلك كله او تخريبه.
المائدة العامرة تتسع ليس فقط للمذاقات والالوان، بل الأصوات بينها: كرقعقعة الأطباق والأقداح، وطقطقة الملاعق ، السكاكين والأشواك، وقهقهة الضحكات، بين اطراف الحديث المتبادل.
المائدة العامرة ليست بهيجة دائماً؛ بين مايثقل الكاهل لوضع ماعليها، احياناً يكون بالكاد، واحياناً يكون وفيراً
لكنه في كل الاحوال ذو قيمة، وأغلى عندما يكون من الحقل او الحديقة. ونكون اكثر تمسكاً به، عندما يتم محاولة انتزاعه منا.
ثم تدور رحى الحروب،
وتُقدَّم القرابين لهذه المائدة.
ترتفع أصواتٌ مدوية أخرى، قنابل السموم مصحوبةً بأدخنةٍ سخامية متصاعدة
تُغطَّى المائدة بظلال كثيفة.
غمامة (سحابةٌ)، غُمّة (كآبةٌ).
لا تُلوِّث هذا الحقل فحسب، ولا الحقل المجاور، بل جميع حقول الأرض وماتسقى به. ونحن نلتهم من هذه الحقول.
